Taylor Swift thought she was coming to snatch edges by announcing her album release date, dropping a new single and teasing the video. But, that’s not at all what happened. Instead, the internet is giving her the business for possibly trolling her arch nemesis Kanye and stealing a scene straight out of Beyoncé’s “Formation” video.
Tay Tay’s new album “Reputation” (insert eye roll) will drop November 10th. To the average person that’s not a big deal. To those with the heightened sense of Black Twitter it’s petty level: EPIC! You see, November 10, 2017 is the 10 year anniversary of the death of Kanye’s mother, Donde West. You already know ‘Ye and Tay’s complicated history of stage hi-jackings, apologies, sneak disses and lies, but this move seems way too low, even for Swift. We’re hoping it’s just a coincidence, which is pretty much what her record label said to TMZ about picking the release date, “[it’s] based on other Universal Music Group releases. There is no correlation.”
If that wasn’t bad enough, Swift dropped her new single “Look What You Made Me Do” and teased the video that had a lot of people feeling a little déjà vu.

Does this look familiar?
If you think it looks like Beyonce’s “Formation” video you aren’t the only one.

Oh, and even Nicki Minaj had something to say. She conspicuously tweeted this after Taylor dropped her song. Y’all already know they got beef too…
Do you think this was directed at Swift? Do you think Taylor is being super shady these days? Let us know in the comment section.
