Houston rapper Bun B is planning a benefit concert to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey and he’s reaching out to all his celebrity friends to take part. From natives like Beyonce and Jim Parsons to Jamie Foxx and Drake, the “Big Pimpin” rapper is casting a wide net.
But one person not getting an invite is President Trump. The legendary H-Town MC told TMZ, “Putting Trump on by himself would send the wrong message and people wouldn’t buy the sincerity of it,” adding, “After what he did in Charlottesville, he’s not a symbol of unity and it would rub people the wrong way.”
The only way he would get an invite however is if he’s joined by all the former Presidents, or at least side by side with Obama. That he believes would show solidarity and unity especially since they “have had their issues.”
Meanwhile, Bun is working with Scooter Braun, who manages Justin Bieber, and who produced Ariana Grande’s massive benefit show in June in Manchester, England to gather talent and organize the event.
Per his rep, the benefit is scheduled to air on Sept. 12 on CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX from 8-9 PM.
