Will Ferrell has officially corroborated reports that Mariah Carey truly was a diva while on set of the forthcoming flick, The House.
Ferrell recently stopped by Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and got grilled by the late night talk show host about Mariah’s behavior on set. The conversation went a little something like this.
First: Did she show up four hours late? Ferrell responded: “Yes.”
Second: What script notes did she give when she arrived? “One script note was like, ‘I don’t want to do the scene,’ even though it was totally approved ahead of time,” he said.
Third: What Carey song was she supposed to sing? “I can’t remember,” the actor suggested. He then explained she changed her mind and that “[It was] hard with clearance and it became quite a kerfuffle. A.K.A. a sh*tstorm.”
Fourth: Any crazy demands for what should be in her trailer? “Stuffed lambs,” the funnyman explained, “For her Lambily [fans].”
Fifth: How many hours before you realized this wasn’t going to happen? “At 11 p.m. there was a knock on my trailer door and they said, ‘You can go home,’ ” Ferrell said. “I got in my car and left everyone on set.”
Back in May, co-star Rob Huebel was the first to unveil the truth behind Carey’s diva manners while filming.
