Being the boyfriend of a Kardashian isn’t all that lucrative as evidence of Tyga’s many repossessed vehicles. But now that he’s no longer keeping up with Kylie, he’s booking real, paying gigs. Congrats, man.
The rapper will now be flaunting his acting muscle in the third season of the MTV reboot “Scream” alongside rapper/actor/Biggie Small’s son, C.J. Wallace.
According to THR, this season will include an entirely new cast, location and premise. It will revolve around “Deion Elliot, a local star running back whose tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends.”
Tyga is set to play Jamal, Deion’s step-brother. “Despite hanging out with a rough crowd, he’s got a big heart and an undying loyalty to Deion.”
Wallace will play Amir. Here’s how THR describes his character:
The character is a good kid whose strict parents expect him to keep clean during high school, stay away from girls and ultimately find his place within the family business. Amir is a socially awkward savant who dreams of making music one day, an ambition he must stifle and keep to himself. But when events make him the unexpected target of a killer, Amir finds himself in over his head and his worldview challenged. Facing death makes Amir reconsider what he wants for his life and the lengths he’s willing to go to find his identity and chase his dreams — should he survive.
The six-episode, third season of “Scream” is set to return to MTV in March.
