Iggy Azalea is speaking out about being called a “f*cking moron” by “Closer” singer, Halsey.
Last week, during an interview with The Guardian, Halsey was asked about her collaboration with Migos member Quavo. But she took a far departure from the question when she randomly started talking about Iggy.
“There’s a lot of people I wouldn’t put on my record,” she said. That’s when she called out Azalea for having a “complete disregard for black culture. F–king moron. I watched her career dissolve and it fascinated me.”
Azalea remained mum regarding the comment, but on Tuesday morning, she finally broker her silence.
During a phone interview with Australian radio show Smallzy’s Surgery to promote her new album Digital Distortion, the female emcee said of the hurtful comment, “It’s a bit weird to bring someone up in an interview that you weren’t asked about.”
She added, “I don’t know her. I’ve never met her. So I thought it was a bit strange to just throw that out there.”
