Ja Rule Mum Following Cancelation Of Disastrous Fyre Festival

The inaugural Fyre Music Festival was on track to be the hottest event following in the footsteps of Coachella, instead it ended up being the crustiest event of the year. And now, fans are furious, the organizers are scrambling and lots of people have taken to social to voice their displeasure.

The event, hosted by rapper Ja Rule, was scheduled to start Friday in the Bahamas, featuring a line-up that included multiple G.O.O.D. Music artists, Blink-182, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Yachty, and many more, but before one beat was heard the festival completely crashed and burned. (Pun intended; after all, it is called Fyre.)

The initial promotional video featured supermodels Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Emily Ratajkowski partying in what appears to be lavish surroundings. So of course, that’s what people expected after forking over a fortune for the weekend. Tickets for the two-weekend festival ranged from $1,000 to $12,000 and $250,000 group packages were also offered.

Instead, the accommodations were poor and the food, whelp, Rain Man asked it best. “Hey @GordonRamsay what would you rate #fyrefestival gourmet meals?”

And if you think slabs of bread and cheese are gourmet folks, you haven’t lived.

The luxurious housing that was promised, the over the top tents, that looked like this in promotional materials,

Instead looked like this …

Blink 182 saw the handwriting on the wall and pulled out of the event Thursday night. Tweeting, “after much careful and difficult consideration, we want to let you know that we won’t be performing at Fyre Fest in the Bahamas this weekend and next weekend. We’re not confident that we would have what we need to give you the quality of performances we always give our fans.”

At that point all hell broke loose, and festival organizers pulled the plug tweeting that they would be canceling the two-weekend event and will be refunding concert goers their money.

Ja Rule, meanwhile, hasn’t uttered a word regarding the failed festival. But plenty of people are expressing their displeasure at the twitter site @FryeFraud and there are hundreds of magical meme’s .
