Chrissy Teigen Says “There’s Light On The Other Side” Amid Postpartum Depression

It was just one month ago that supermodel Chrissy Teigen unveiled the secrets behind her struggle with postpartum depression. Now, the beauty is telling a new story: How she is is almost on “the other side.”

During an interview with Refinery 29, the mother of one opened up about moving forward from the emotional and physical pain after the birth of her now 1-year-old daughter, Luna. “Just know that there’s a light on the other side,” she told the website. “When I was in the midst of everything, I could never imagine myself on the other side of it. Now, I’m able to look at September, October, November, December, and shake my head at how dark and crazy of a period it was.”

She continued, “Unfortunately, you can only really do that when you’re out of it. There’s no other way to explain it. And there’s no better feeling than being out of it.”

The 31-year-old added, “You have your good and bad days. I just had a bad day a couple days ago. But the bad days do not outweigh the good days anymore. Just when you think it’s really, really bad, it’s going to get better. So hopefully, if you’re going through something tough you can find some peace in knowing that.”

Back in March, Teigen admitted in Glamour magazine that after having her daughter, “getting out of bed to get to set on time was painful. My lower back throbbed; my shoulders — even my wrists — hurt.”

She admitted that, “I didn’t have an appetite, would go two days without a bite of food, and you know how big of a deal food is for me. One thing that really got me was just how short I was with people.”
