First Kanye … now Steve Harvey.
The Family Feud host is the latest celeb to meet with Donald Trump. On Friday Harvey met with the president-elect at Trump Tower to discuss urban renewal, among other things.
After snapping some photos with Trump , the comedian told Fox reporters that he came to meet with the business tycoon after the transition teams of both President Obama and Trump reached out to him last week.
Oh, so Obama had something to do with this?
“I came and talked to the guy who’s going to be the 45th President of the United States,” Harvey told reporters after the meeting. “[We spoke about] housing for urban development…[to] bring some positive change in the inner cities. He wants to do something. He realizes he needs some allies in that department. He seemed really sincere about it.”
Realizing that he may get dragged for filth by the internet, Harvey also addressed his meeting with Trump on his Twitter page.
Harvey told reporters he and Donald also shared a laugh and discussed their love for golf and his show the Family Feud.
“We laughed a little bit. I ain’t been laughing that much the past few days they’ve been beating me up on the Internet,” he said referring to the backlash he received this week after a joke he made on Family Feud about Asian men went viral.
When asked if he has plans to enter politics, Harvey replied, “I wouldn’t pass a background check.”
