The trailer for Jordan Peele’s horror flick Get Out just dropped online, and despite its controversial and disturbing subject matter, black folks on social media, for the most part, are finding it funny rather than offensive.
Here’s the premise: A black man, dating a white woman, goes to visit her family and finds out they have kidnapped and enslaved tons of black people throughout the town. The reaction, in a nutshell: Brothas, stay away from Becky!

To be clear, the film is not a comedy. Peele, who himself is married to a white woman, co-wrote and directed the film, and said he wanted to use the horror genre to talk about racial issues. But while some found it entertaining, there were others who found it to be ridiculous. Hit the flip to see their responses.
Get Out, which stars Daniel Kaluuya (Sicario), Allison Williams (Girls), Lil Rel Howry (The Carmichael Show) and Keith Stanfield (Atlanta), hits theaters February 2017.
