While promoting their new film, When the Bough Breaks, Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall got into a playful dispute about Hall allegedly turning down a guest role on Chestnut’s Fox show, Rosewood.
Apparently, Hall did turn down the role, but with good reason. “They did a date inquiry once and I was working. I was like, ‘Tell them I’m working,’ and never again did [Morris] ask,” explained Hall.
But according to Chestnut, he didn’t reach out personally because he was told Hall flat-out declined. “I called the casting director and I said, ‘How did it go with Regina?’ and she said, ‘She said, ‘Hell, naw,'” he joked.
The two told HipHollywood exclusively, however, that they plan to guest star on each other’s shows very soon. Hall is slated to star in the Netflix series Naked with Marlon Wayans.
