Katy Perry is stripping down to get folks to head to the polls. Yep, it’ll probably work.
The singer teamed up with Funny or Die for a hilarious skit released on Tuesday, i.e. National Voter Registration Day, and ironically, the day following the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
In the visual, Perry reassures viewers they can “look like sh*t” when going to the polls — in fact, she details what looks deem appropriate for just out of bed. Whether it’s a child’s onesie, a hunk in kids’ briefs, a free XL t-shirt you got from your bank, the breakout, the scrooge, or the best of all … naked … Perry says it is “A-OK.”
“Yup, I’ve briefly scanned the Constitution, and nowhere does it say you can’t just roll out of bed and come to the polls in whatever state you woke up in,” she says.
Whelp, let’s backtrack on the naked look — Perry got arrested for rocking her birthday suit in the skit, so maybe it’s not the best idea.
“See you at the polls Nov. 8,” she said while being thrown into the back of a squad car that just so happens to also be holding comedian and talk show host Joel McHale.
On Monday, the pop star suggested on social media: “TOMORROW, I USE MY BODY AS CLICK BAIT TO HELP CHANGE THE WORLD.”
