Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’s newest cast member, Safaree Samuels, opened up about his ex-girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, on Monday night’s VH1 Live!
“It’s no hate in my heart. It’s all love no matter what. Too much has been done, too much has been built, for me to be like I hate you,” he revealed to VH1 Live! host Marc Lamont Hill.
The Brooklyn-born rapper also spoke with Billboard recently and further addressed his past drama with Minaj.
“We don’t have any relationship. We don’t speak. No lawsuits either. That whole court thing got blown out of proportion because people wanted to react. But if there was a court situation, you guys would’ve saw it,” Samuels asserted.
The 35-year-old is looking to make a name for himself without being tied to his superstar ex, and he is using the Love & Hip Hop platform to catapult his career.
“[Being a part of] the Love & Hip Hop franchise is something I’ve had the opportunity to do for years, but I wanted to get myself established a little more as an artist,” he told the magazine. “I’m going to capitalize on it. I wanna push myself as a brand — modeling, acting, fitness, clothing. I have a coconut oil that’s made and produced in India. I’m waiting for the show to really start pushing that.”
You can catch Samuels and the rest of the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast Monday nights on VH1.
