Congratulations to Tatyana Ali … she’s a married woman now!
The former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star wed her fiancé Dr. Vaughn Rasberry on Sunday at the Four Season Hotel in Beverly Hills.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the ceremony took place in front of 120 of their closest friends and family and included Caribbean touches to pay tribute to her roots. Ali wore a custom-made Amsale gown.
The couple, who met on eHarmony, are also expecting their first child together.
Unfortunately, with all this good news there’s a little bad. While Tatyana is basking in wedded bliss, she’s also calling Warner Bros. out for allegedly stealing her idea. Ali filed papers on Friday claiming WB hijacked her show idea which was eerily similar to “The Real”.
In court documents Ali states she created a show idea with, “an eclectic group of engaging female celebrity hosts, each aged within their 20s and 30s” in a “relaxed and informal setting.” After months-long discussions, the producers ultimately decided to decline. But, to Tatyana’s surprise, six months later “The Real” popped up on FOX. “With a great deal of disappointment and complete disbelief,” the suit says, Ali “witnessed [her] concept come to life on major network television at the hands of the Defendant Corporations.”
The suit seeks unspecified damages from “all rightful gains, profits, and advantages derived by the Defendants” and the formation of a collective trust for Ali of “designated percentages of the proceeds resulting from past, current and future production and airing of The Real television program.”
