When it comes to stepping outside the box and trying new hairstyles, women definitely take the cake. From cuts and weaves to braids and wigs, you can always count on a woman to shake things up.
But as of late, men are starting to try new and wild hairstyles, regardless of how good they look. We’ve been seeing a trend in Hollywood where celebrity guys are taking a chance and rocking new edgy looks. From Chris Brown to Fetty Wap to Omarion, the evolving hairstyles are becoming increasingly popular.
But we wonder, have they gone too far? Or should men be allowed to be experiment with their hair just like women? When posing the question on social media, the general consensus, when specifically discussing Chris Brown, August Alsina, Omarion, Fetty Wap, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jason Derulo, was “not a fan.”
One social media user wrote: “N*ggas be look’n fro attention just as bad as females now days.”
Someone else wrote: Nope!!! But I guess my opinion does not matter.
August Alsina: The R&B crooner oftentimes opts for braids, but recently, Alsina has been enjoying the long, “let it go” look. Dyed red, the singer’s latest hairstyle is nothing short of striking.
Chris Brown: Breezy is a fashionisto in his own right; however, the singer has been a bit fickle when it comes to locking down a hairstyle. After flirting with blond hair, short hair, braids, and even a man bun, Brown is now rocking more of a peacock look.
Odell Beckham Jr.: Quite possibly, the peacock look is winning the ladies over because Odell Beckham Jr. is also rocking the same style. The New York Giants player’s hair looks like a bowl of ramen on top of his head, but clearly, it’s working for him.
Fetty Wap: Fetty Wap is currently rocking faux locks, nothing too crazy, right? Well, what if we told you his style was a lace front?! According to reports, the “Trap Queen” rapper’s hairstyle is a mere illusion. Gotta love a good lace front.
Jason Derulo: Derulo is also on board the peacock look. The singer, who admitted to HipHollywood earlier this year that he’s been enjoying switching up his style, has been wearing his hair in a long mohawk.
Omarion: Omarion seemingly started this sexy trend. The R&B singer has always been into braids, but lately, he took the popular look and created an edgier vibe by shaving the sides of his head.
