Undoubtedly, it’s been a busy and draining week for President Obama.
Just one day after addressing the deaths of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, the POTUS was back behind a podium speaking to the nation about the unfortunate Dallas shooting.
After describing the incident as a “vicious, calculated and despicable attack” the President assured the country that justice would be served, “There is no possible justification for these kinds of attacks or any violence against law enforcement. Anyone involved in the senseless murders will be held fully accountable. Justice will be done.”
Speaking from Warsaw, Poland where he was on hand for a summit of NATO leaders, President Obama also reiterated the difficulties police officers face on a daily basis. “Today is a wrenching reminder of the sacrifices they make for us. We also know when people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately, it makes attacks like these more deadly and more tragic.”
