It was a big week in the world of professional sports. First, the shocking NBA trades, followed by Tim Duncan’s retirement and then the call for action by Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James during Wednesday night’s ESPY Awards.

On Thursday, however, some of the world’s biggest athletes traded in their cleats and sneakers for slime and a good time. HipHollywood was on the red carpet for the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards where it was all about kids celebrating their favorite athletes.

Russell Wilson served as the host for the second year in a row and you better believe it, his wife Ciara was right by his side. Cici not only flaunted her stunning wedding ring, but also hit the stage for a dance battle with Rob Gronkowski.

OKC player Cameron Payne explained that Kevin Durant’s move to the Golden State Warriors was “the best decision for him. I’m happy for him. I hope he does well. ”

Matt Barnes, who made a move to his hometown team, the Sacramento Kings, told us, “That’s where everything started, so to come full circle to be back here at the end of my career — I’m very excited about the opportunity.”

Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns opened up to HH about being the big talk of the Minnesota Timberwolves. “It’s such an honor to be mentioned in such great territory like that,” he said when asked how he feels that people are now comparing he and Wiggins to Durant and Russell Westbrook. “We are working tremendously hard to bring something special to Minnesota and we are having a blast doing it.”
