Celebrities are no longer staying silent on the issues that plague our community the most. Now, they’re using their platforms to speak out against injustices and banding together to make change. The latest effort for reform comes from 25 celebrities who have come together for a viral video that highlights the mundane actions that cost Black Americans their lives daily.
The project is called #23Ways and it originated on Mic.com, but then Alicia Keys organized a few of her famous friends to record a video listing 23 everyday actions punishable by death if you’re Black in America.
Take a look at Common, Lenny Kravitz, Queen Latifah, Beyonce, Rihanna, Taraji P. Henson and more passionately plead for change.
