Just like the rest of us, Justin Timberlake tuned in to the BET Awards Sunday night. And, just like the rest of us, he was moved by Jesse Williams’ inspiring Humanitarian Award acceptance speech. But, unlike the rest us, JT is catching hell on Twitter for what appears to be a lacking of understanding.

It all started when Timberlake tweeted that Jesse made him feel “inspired”.

After that, one of his followers asked the “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer if he would now stop appropriating Black culture. It was all downhill from there…

Well, Twitter didn’t like his response and let him have it.

Justin tried to apologize and clean up his mess, but the damage was already done.
