Great minds think like the greatest.
Following the death of the late great Muhammad Ali, dozens of celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the former boxing champion and social activist. But while many shared their favorite quotes or images from Ali, one star took their tribute to another level.
Actor Michael B. Jordan shared an image over the weekend of himself recreating Ali’s classic underwater photoshoot from 1961. In the famous photo, a 19-year-old Muhammad was captured by photographer, Flip Schulke training under water in a Miami swimming pool.
“Respect to the GOAT. Your legacy will live forever,” Jordan, who sported a pair of black shorts captioned the photo.
Jordan isn’t the only one to recreate the famous snapshot. In November 2015, Alicia Keys recreated the image for a personal blog post about loving herself.
