Wendell Pierce, notably known for his role on Waiting to Exhale, The Wire and Confirmation, was arrested on Saturday morning in Atlanta.
According to the incident report, obtained by HipHollywood, Pierce got into an altercation with a group of women over politics while on the 23rd floor of the Atlanta Lowes Hotel.
Per the report, the conversation got the actor so up in arms, he “pushed” one of the victims before following the group of women to their hotel room. That’s where Pierce apparently “stuck his arm in the door and tried to enter the room.”
According to one of the victims, identified as Mrs. Baca, she and her friends tried to “push Mr. Pierce out when he began to hit her in the head and grab her hoodie, ripping the hood off.”
But the Confirmation actor had a different story to tell. Per Wendell, he “followed them to their room and was standing outside when he was grabbed by Mrs. Baca and her 2 friends who attempted to pull him in and he was trying to get away.”
According to the actor’s girlfriend, they weren’t even “staying on the 23rd floor but instead the 18th floor.”
Following the altercation, both Mrs. Baca and Pierce declined medical assistance. Pierce, who was booked in Fulton County Jail, was released Saturday afternoon on a $1,000 bond.
Earlier this morning, the APD told HipHollywood that “Mr. Pierce made no indication he was famous nor did the officer inquire.”
