The moves they are making for Marvel’s upcoming “Black Panther” flick have us very excited.
First it was announced the Ryan Coogler (“Creed”) signed on to direct, then Chadwick Boseman was locked in to play the main character T’Challa (we got a look at him in “Captain America: Civil War”). Now, it looks like Lupita Nyong’o is in talks to join the film as well.
Nyong’o’s exact role has yet to be announced, and there has been no official statement from Marvel, but we don’t even care! However, The Hollywood Reporter, is reporting that Lupita’s character and T’challa may have some romantic sparks between them.
The film will explore T’Challa’s story as the warrior prince who becomes King of the African nation of Wakanda. It’s slated to start filming early next year with a February 2018 release date.
