Azealia Banks has been booted from headlining a British music festival following an angry, racist rant towards Zayn Malik.
The folks behind Rinse FM’s Born & Bred festival confirmed the news via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon with a post that read:
“We have decided to cancel Azealia Banks’ headline appearances at Rinse Born & Bred Festival. Rinse Born & Bred is a celebration of rave culture and has been created for EVERYONE. We celebrate inclusivity and equality.”
After Born & Fed announced Banks was axed from the show, the female emcee took to Twitter to address why she tagged Zayn in such a hateful way.
Banks went on a vicious Twitter rant on Tuesday and bashed Malik for being a “d*ck rider,” a “Punjab,” a “dirty b*tch” the “Paki” of One Direction and a man whose mother “is a dirty refugee who won’t be granted asylum.”
The entire altercation started after Banks suggested Zayn copied her Yung Rapunxel video. Malik tweeted these messages, which set the rapper off.
This is the Twitter rant that also launched into a war between Banks and 14-year-old Disney star, Skai Jackson.
