Ashanti is stacking resume credits like they’re going out of style!
Not only is ‘Shanti an accomplished singer, songwriter and actress, but the triple-threat has now upgraded herself to quadruple-threat by signing on to executive produce the new film “Mothers And Daughters”.
When we caught up with the “Foolish” singer at our HH Loft, she admitted that it was an easy decision for her to get involved with a film about the relationships between mothers and daughters because of her own unique relationship with her momager, Tina Douglas. The talented entertainer also opened up about how the film, starring Susan Sarandon, Courtney Cox, Christina Ricci, Selma Blair and Sharon Stone, explores several types of relationships, some of which will leave you shocked.
Check out our interview with Ashanti above and also make sure to check out “Mothers And Daughters” (which Ashanti also has a cameo in, plus she’s featured on the soundtrack) in theaters and on VOD May 6th.
Also, check back to HipHollywood for part two of our Ashanti exclusive where we talk about her new album, touring with Ja Rule and so much more!
