Beyonce’s latest album Lemonade has everyone discussing Jay Z’s apparent infidelity and specifically, who the rapper might have cheated on Beyonce with.
The LP also takes fans into the pair’s apparent troubled marriage and just how Beyonce might have dealt with any personal problems … even if it meant resorting to a baseball bat. But according to Bey’s father, Mathew Knowles, the emotional project isn’t all about the multi Grammy Award winner and her rapper boo.
“Let me tell you who she’s talking about, can I tell you who she’s talking about? She’s talking about you,” he told E! News exclusively. “You put that in context for you personally. She’s talking about you and everybody that is you, that’s who she’s talking about.”
He added, “I think that’s the beauty of her creativity and I think that’s what makes it so special, is that it relates to everyone. Every one of us have been disappointed before and have had to go through the grieving process of anger and, you know, disappointment and then acceptance and forgiveness. And I think that’s why this again is touching so many people, because it’s universal. Everybody can relate to it.”
Beyonce’s mother, Tina, also responded to the Lemonade HBO special and album with an Instagram post that for many, helped validate that her daughter has indeed gone through some serious troubles in her relationship.
“Toast to lemonade B worked so hard on this project day and night ! It was soo important to her to offer something that would bring about healing and hope to the universe! No matter what you’ve gone thru in life you can always come out on the other side!”
