It may not be a deluxe apartment in the sky, but it is a cushier gig, with more viewers and probably a much bigger paycheck!
Michael Strahan has announced that he is leaving LIVE! With Kelly and Michael to join Good Morning America full time.
“I look forward to continuing to work with the incredible team at GMA. It is an exciting opportunity to be able to bring unique stories and voices to the audience,” Strahan said in a statement. “My time with LIVE with Kelly and Michael has been transformative, and my departure will be bittersweet. Kelly has been an unbelievable partner, and I am so thankful to her and the entire team. I am extremely grateful for the amazing support I’ve received from all of the fans.”
Michael has been working with GMA part-time since 2014, making a couple of appearance a week. But, come September, we will see him everyday alongside Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer, George Stephanopoulos, Amy Robach and Ginger Zee.
Strahan initially replaced Regis Philbin on “LIVE!” in 2012, so after 4 years of seeing the retired football pro on the show, will you miss him when he’s gone? Oh, and who do you think should take his place? Let us know in the comment section below!
