N.W.A’s DJ Yella is still riding the high of Friday night’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

During the MTV Movie Awards, a glowing emcee stopped by to talk with HipHollywood about the major career highlight. “Last night was something different. The energy on stage with the guys was that 89′ feeling,” he told us exclusively.

And being inducted by Grammy Award winner Kendrick Lamar was just the icing on the cake. “I was like ‘wow, where’d you get all this from,” Yella said.

It has been 25 years since the group disbanded, however, the DJ hinted to HipHollywood that a comeback tour might be in the works. “I took a selfie on stage that’s going around and you can see the faces. It’s like tour time.”

He added, “That energy was there … there’s always a maybe.” But for the sake of not having to hold our breaths, Ice Cube will be performing at Coachella next weekend and there are rumors the rapper will be bring out the N.W.A crew.

By the way, the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton was nominated for three MTV Movie Awards. Clearly a big weekend for the group.
