Janet Jackson has been forced to postpone several upcoming European tour dates. Fans were informed of the news via an email from ticket distributor, Ticketmaster.
“It is not possible to confirm new date at the present time so we are refunding all ticket holders, you don’t need to do a thing — you’ll see a credit onto the card you used within 15 days,” the message read.
No word on the cause of the postponement, but last year Jackson put her North American tour on hold to deal with an undisclosed medical condition. Regardless, all of Jackson’s European tour dates were removed from the Ticketmaster website but her U.S. dates, which begin May 14 in Las Vegas, are still listed.
According to Janet’s longtime friend and producer Jimmy Jam the singer had been doing well since her surgery in January, and preparing to come back with an even bigger tour. “I’m so excited the show is such a phenomenal show for those who have gotten to see it and it’s only gotten better now,” he told us at The Grammy Awards. “The time off besides giving her the chance to recover has also given her the chance to rethink some things. It’s going to be a longer better show than the first time around.”
