After the success of Empire, Lee Daniels has been given the green light for a new TV show, and this time it’s all about an Atlanta based girl group. HipHollywood caught up with singer / actor Quincy who has nabbed a part on the yet-untitled pilot.
“It’s about a girl group and the ups-and-downs of that, can’t say too much more than that,” explained Quincy who was last seen in Dope.
Quincy who auditioned for a role on Empire, said he once again had to audition for Daniels to get this role. “It was from the ground up. It was like 8 call backs in total. It don’t come easy.”
Daniels has announced that Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt will lead the cast, along with several newcomers, one of which we spy is transgender model Amiyah Scott, thanks to a photo posted on Daniels’ Instagram account.
