Magic Johnson has vowed to never watch another one of Manny Pacquiao’s fights over recent comments he made about homosexuals.

During an interview with a Filipino television station earlier this week, the professional boxer compared homosexuals to animals. “Have you seen any animal having male-to-male or female-to-female relations?” Pacquiao said. “If you have male-to-male or female-to-female [relationships], then people are worse than animals.”

Pacquiao received major backlash for the comments, which also resulted in Nike cutting ties with the boxer.  “We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent,” Nike said in a statement. “Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community.”

Magic also found the boxer’s comments abhorrent, posting a series of tweets expressing his disappointment in the boxer and applauding Nike for making the decision to part ways.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao is showing no signs of backing down. Less than 24 hours after being fired by Nike, the boxer, despite apologizing for his comments, posted a bible verse on Instagram regarding same sex relations.

In the image, that has since been deleted, Manny quoted Leviticus 20.13: “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death, their blood will be on their own heads.”
