Lil Scrappy is not here for the eviction rumors involving his name that are circulating the Internet this weekend. According to MediaTakeOut, the rapper turned reality TV star was kicked out of his Atlanta home for falling behind on his rent. Below is an excerpt from the outlet’s article:

“In court papers, the owner of the house says that he asked Scrappy to either pay the rent, or leave the house – but Scrappy did neither. Scrappy remained in the four-bedroom, five bathroom house rent free for the last two months. The court stepped in, finding that Scrappy owes $4,272 for rent, late fees, utility bills and administrative fees, and gave the landlord warrant to put Scrappy out on the street.”

The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star was quick to address the rumors, taking to Twitter to shun those throwing dirt on his name. “I haven’t got evicted but the fact that people want me to be out on my ass is a show of hate,” he wrote.

Scrappy also posted an additional denial on Instagram in the form of this video and caption.

Back in November 2015, it was first reported that the artist was facing eviction but owner Randy Williams, from the Williams Property Group, said in court documents that he was close to resolving the dispute.

Over the years, Scrappy’s property issues have been well documented. Williams also filed a lawsuit against him in January 2015 over unpaid rent. And in addition to that, Scrappy had a home go into foreclosure in 2010 for not making payments.
