When Kanye West tweets, people read it and if they work for a British tabloid, fabricate stories around that tweet. After Ye tweeted his respects following the passing of David Bowie, The Daily Star published an article claiming Yeezus was working on a new album inspired by Bowie’s music.
David Bowie was one of my most important inspirations, so fearless, so creative, he gave us magic for a lifetime.

“Some are straightforward covers with Kanye actually singing. On others he is rapping with his own lyrics over Bowie’s music,” an unnamed ‘source’ told the paper.
After the article went viral, a petition was immediately posted online calling for West to refrain from working on the project. That petition, which already has over 13,000 signatures, turned out to be completely pointless much like the article that generated it. HipHollywood has learned that while Ye loves Bowie’s creativity, he has no plans of creating a tribute album.
