Will Smith is making his way back into the music scene with something very special for his fans.
The actor, who hasn’t released a track in a decade, joined forces with Colombian group Bomba Estéreo’s on a track called “Fiesta.” And leave it to Will to shock fans and drop his verses in Spanish and English … Spanglish.
In what is the actor’s first studio release since the 2005 album, “Lost and Found.” Smith’s new collaboration gives us the same sexy vibe as his classic hit, “Miami.”
And in case you were wondering how the group and Jada Pinkett Smith’s husband teamed up, it was Will who wanted to jump on the upbeat track after hearing it while in Columbia.”When I was told that Will Smith wanted to collaborate on a remix with Bomba, I couldn’t believe it,” said Simón Mejia, Bomba Estéreo’s founder/multi-instrumentalist in a statement.
He added, “This opportunity to work with Will was beyond anything we have dreamed of. It’s not a traditional featuring — it’s just magic.”
By the way, “Fiesta” was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award.
