Following Sunday night’s episode of Basketball Wives: LA, Brandi Maxiell spoke out via Twitter about calling Shaunie O’Neal, who is the executive producer of the hit VH1 show, “a b*tch.”
“If someone can talk about my character and say what they want then I should be able to as well,” Maxiell wrote in a series of tweets. “I don’t care. No one is going to insult me. I don’t WORK FOR NO ONE.”
“No shade…BUT if someone had so much power I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t have seen a couple ladies on our Franchise.”
But Brandi’s Twitter tirade was a much different tune than when HipHollywood caught up with her in July. During our exclusive chat with Brandi, the reality star explained that calling Shaunie a “b*tch” was “not my proudest moment. I was a little irritated at that moment.”
Brandi went on to say that she doesn’t “handle authority too well and I don’t like people telling me what to do … I just hope everything plays out the way that it was so people can understand where I came from.”
The entire argument, which resulted in Shaunie dismissing Brandi from the table and thanking her for her services, all stemmed from Brandi thinking Shaunie had a condescending demeanor. The dismissal by Shaq’s ex-wife also appeared to be O’Neal firing the reality star from the show … but that still remains unclear.
Be sure to tune in for the reunion show next Sunday on VH1.
