Michael B. Jordan was subject to Kendall Jenner dating rumors earlier this year and now, the actor is finally speaking out.
The Creed actor and Jenner was spotted leaving the 2015 Met Gala in New York the same time the famous model was exiting which instantly sparked major gossip. “It’s the world we live in. They see white and black. I don’t,” the 28-year-old told GQ. “Kendall’s a friend of mine, you know. I don’t know her, like, that well, but I know her enough. People’s perspective on that is what it is. I don’t f**king know. I don’t live my life to make other people happy.”
The rumors have since been silenced, but Jordan goes on to express his reaction to fans initially being bothered with the idea of dating a white woman. “It’s so weird, though, right? A lot of black fans were feeling like, ‘Oh, my God, he should have been with a black woman’ and that whole thing,” he said. “I get it, but on the other hand it’s, like, relax. You know — it’s 2015. It’s okay!”
Jordan added, “People can like one another, not necessarily from the same history or culture or whatever the f**k it is. It’s just the new world, you know what I mean?”
Michael is GQ’s latest cover boy and we are loving the photos. In the October issue for the men’s publication, Jordan takes on a slew of poses including, one with his shirt off. Yasssss!
