Nick Gordon broke his silence on Monday night and opened up about the passing of his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina.
“The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family,” his mother, Michelle wrote in a statement to HipHollywood. “Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.”
Bobbi died on Sunday while at a hospice center in Duluth, Georgia. The 22-year-old was surrounded by family during her passing, but one person apparently not present, Gordon, who had been prohibited from seeing Krissi since she was found unresponsive on January 31.
The family, who has had ongoing problems with Gordon, initially banned him from seeing BK because he would not speak with authorities about what happened the day Whitney Houston’s daughter was discovered face down in a bathtub inside her Roswell, Ga townhouse.
Last month, Krissi’s conservator filed a lawsuit against Gordon for a whopping $40 million dollars, accusing him of stealing money and beating the 22-year-old.
