Director Rick Famiyua is taking audiences back to Inglewood with his new film Dope. 15 years after making The Wood, Famiyua has a new coming of age tale about his hometown, and HipHollywood caught up with him and the cast to celebrate at the star studded L.A. premiere.
Starring newcomer Shameik Moore, the film follows three high school geeks whose lives change after a chance encounter with their neighborhood drug dealer played by Harlem bred rapper A$AP Rocky. Zoe Kravitz, Chanel Iman, Kimberly Elise, and Quincy also star in the film, while Diddy and Forest Whitaker serves as executive producers.
