Why Azealia Banks Is Finally Leaving Twitter
In a move that we’re sure delights many in the universe, outspoken Twitter troublemaker Azealia Banks says she’s taking a break from the social media platform. The departure from Twitter doesn’t stem from a beef as we’re sure you probably expected, but for what we guess are kind-of-religious reason:
“Although I am not a baptized Christian, I love lent and Good Friday,” she tweeted. “I missed the beginning of Lent but better late than never. I’m going off tweets until April 2nd!! My management will tweet AB news. I will still be on Instagram. But I need to give my mind a break.”
It’s unfortunate that Banks’ is more known for her Twitter beefs than her music. Her outspoken nature has landed her in feuds with Erykah Badu, Lady Gaga, A$AP Rocky, Lily Allen, Rita Ora, T.I. and Iggy Azalea just to name a few.
