HipHollywood can confirm that Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight was rushed to a Nevada hospital after suffering a scary medical emergency.
Knight’s lawyer, Richard Schonfeld, tells HipHollywood that Knight was taken from jail to the University Medical Center on Friday night where a blood clot was found in his lungs. We are told that Knight is still recovering.
As previously reported, Marion “Knight” Hugh Jr, the Black Kapital Records CEO’s legal name, was arrested in Las Vegas last week after being accused of stealing a female photographer’s camera in Beverly Hills. Suge was supposed to appear before a judge on Monday morning, but because of his current medical condition, his lawyer appeared alone.
We are told that the judge granted Schonfeld’s motion for reasonable bail setting over the district attorney’s objection. Bail was set at $75,000. “He can post there [Nevada], get released and voluntarily appear in California to answer the charges and seek private medical care,” Richard tells us.
