Tracy Morgan is firing back at Walmart after the company argued that the actor should have been wearing his seat belt during an accident that left him hospitalized and one of his friends dead. Walmart claims had Morgan been wearing his seatbelt, he would not have sustained such traumatic injuries.
Morgan is suing the retail giant and released this response to their claims:
“After I heard what Walmart said in court, I felt I had to speak out. I can’t believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I’m fighting hard every day to get back,” Morgan shared in a statement.
Tracy should have been wearing his seat belt, but to not take responsibility for your driver killing a man and injuring several others in an accident is a horrible PR move on Walmart’s part.
