With Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd gone from “The View,” rumors have it that Laila Ali may be up to fill one of their hosting spots.
HipHollywood caught up with Laila on the red carpet at Holly Robinson Peete’s DesignCare event on Saturday in Los Angeles and she opened up about why she would make a good host:
“I am the same no matter where you see me, I’m an authentic person, I say whats on my mind, I’m straight forward and I think I am very relatable, but at the same time I have a lot of experience that most people don’t have,” Laila said. “My father is a global icon, you know, but I’m a very real person. I was an athlete, not a ‘celebrity’ so not only an athlete but a fighter, so I know how to fight, get what I want, and I think I’d bring a very different perspective than anything that they have seen so far.”
