According to the logline, the show is a “sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller that centers on ambitious law students and their brilliant and mysterious criminal defense professor who become entangled in a murder plot that could rock their entire university and change the course of their lives.”
The Help’s Viola Davis is set to star in the pilot and will play the role of Annalise DeWitt, a law professor and renowned criminal defense attorney.
Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson will also star in a new ABC comedy, Black-ish. Loosely based on the life of showrunner Kenya Barris (The Game).
The network has also renewed Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and Revenge.
