With just one month to go until the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, the first group of performers have finally been announced.
According to a press release obtained by HipHollywood, Luke Bryan, John Legend and OneRepublic are just a few of the performers that have been added to the show’s lineup.
John Legend, who recently released his latest album Love in the Future, is up for the Milestone Award for his single “All of Me.” The track, which was inspired by his wife, Chrissy Teigen, marks his highest selling and charting single to date.
On Thursday morning, Derulo announced that he will be joining the line up on ABC’s Good Morning America. While on the hit morning show, the “Talk Dirty” singer also helped announce the finalists for five of the 40 categories.
Some of the top finalists for this year’s awards show, are Lorde, with 12 nominations, Justin Timberlake with 11 nominations and Katy Perry with a with 10 nominations. Some of Timberlake’s nominations include Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album. This year, the singer could his land first BBMA as a solo artist.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis also make the list for several nominations, with a whopping 8 nods.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday May 18, on ABC from 8 p.m – 11 p.m.
