Tyler Perry hasn’t stepped foot inside a grocery store in over a decade … shocking?
Perry stopped by Chelsea Lately on Thursday night to promote his new film, The Single Moms Club, and during the interview, the star opened up about his experience going to a super market for the first time in 15-years.
“A couple of months ago I went to Ralphs,” Perry said as the audience erupted in applause. “I have this great lady named Judy whose been working for me for a while and she takes care of all that stuff. The staff had the weekend off so I decided to go to the grocery store. It was interesting,” he said.
Perry added, “There’s like a checkout with nobody standing there now.”
Talk about being out of touch … But then again, when you’re net worth is a reported $400 million we guess you can get away with it.
Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club hits theaters today, March 14.
