Gotta love a surprise. After a near 7-year break, Wu-Tang pleasantly surprised fans on Tuesday night with a new single, “Keep Watch.”
The 4-minute track from the clan’s forthcoming LP, A Better Tomorrow, features Method Man, GZA, Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna. The track, produced my DJ Mathematics, gives a classic 90’s vibe with a soulful hook sang by Nathaniel. “Keep watch, lights out when the beat drops/keepin’ the streets locked, I’m callin’ all G’s from each block,” he sings.
A Better Tomorrow will be the group’s first studio album since their 2007 record, 8 Diagrams. Last year, WTC announced that they would be celebrating the group’s 20th anniversary with the album set to release hopefully, in the next few months.
“Keep Watch” is available now on the Wu Tang Music Group website.
