Rihanna might have just won the award for best way to promote a tour.
The singer took to Instagram over the weekend to promote her upcoming Monster Tour with Eminem. But instead of using a simple graphic to remind fans to go get their tickets, Ri took a clip from Teen Mom 2.
In the short video, Teen Mom star Janelle Evans can be seen telling her lawyer that she can’t go to jail because she has tickets to go see Kesha. “I really can’t miss that concert,” Evans says. “That’s why I got all these feathers in my hair. I bought clothes for the concert. I set up hotel rooms for the concert.”
She continued, “It’s not just a concert, it’s …” That’s when an audio drop of Rihanna’s name is placed at the end of the sentence.
We have to give Ri some credit for being so creative, afterall, who doesn’t love a little Teen Mom.
“The. monstER. tour. #NEWYORK #LOSANGELES #THEDETROIT be like……… @eminem,” Ri captioned the IG video.
After the singer posted the clip, Evans took to Twitter to share how excited she was that she was even mentioned by the “Monster” signer:
“Badgalriri’s video – dude Rihanna actually noticed me lol,” Evans wrote.
Rihanna and the rapper are set to kick off their highly anticipated, three-date Monster Tour on Aug. 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The duo will then stop by the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 16th, and lastly, the pair will hit up Eminem’s hometown of Detroit, MI for a show at Comerica Park on August 22nd.
