After Rick Ross’ album Mastermind hit number 1, the rapper made sure to reward some of his friends who appeared on the album with him.
Instead of simply giving a pat on the back, Ross hit up jeweler Rafaello & Co in New York and purchased 6 watches to give to some of his friends; DJ Khaled, Wale and Meek Mill to name a few. HipHollywood exclusively talked with jeweler, Gabriel Jacobs to talk about the rapper’s purchase and how excited he was to pick out the bling.
“He was so chill,” Jacobs tells us. “He is my boy and one of my main clients. He is always buying crazy stuff so we really appreciate him.”
He added, “There are all these reports that he owes money to jewelers, but he is not like that. He does not owe anything to anybody.”
Jacobs tells us that the rapper purchased 6 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watches which totaled to up to a near 250k. We are told that the watches ranged from stainless steel, gold and white gold.
“I’m making another one for Ross right now. It’s crazy. It’ll be done in about a week and I can’t wait to show it to him,” Gabriel said. “It’s ridiculous.”
Mastermind, Ross’ sixth studio album, sold 179,000 copies in the week ending March 9 and scored number 1 on the Billboard 200.
