Earlier this month, rapper 50 Cent confronted Steve Stoute at a New York Knicks game after Stoute made some unfavorable comments about the rapper during a radio interview. Pictures of the showdown went viral, but no one except the two men pictured knew what words were exchanged until now.
“I said, ‘That wasn’t very nice of you, Steve. To say what you said wasn’t really nice, and I think you should apologize,'” 50 tells MTV’s Rob Markman about his confrontation with the music executive.
50 also says that back before he became a household name, Stoute urged him not to sign a record deal with Eminem. “‘Look, don’t do the deal with the white boy. Look, yo sh*t is serious,'” 50 recalls Stoute saying. “At the time, Em was doing [‘Purple Pills’ with D12], so [Steve’s] thinking [Eminem’s] a joke.”
