It sounds like Marlo Hampton and NeNe Leakes won’t be rekindling their friendship anytime soon. Earlier this week, Marlo took to her blog to and opened up about her troubled past, but during her revelation, Hampton wounded up taking aim at NeNe.
“Say what you will about me, but I’m always going to be real. I’m always going to be that Woman who will come straight from the heart with no chaser and no BS. I’ve never claimed to be perfect, flawless or without regrets. Who is? Definitely not the fake bleached blond with the bold ambitions! She talks about my past incarcerations, her past includes pole sliding, lap dancing, lights, cameras and action! Which one of us is worse? Both of us have come a long way since then haven’t we? Good thing we took advantage of “opportunities.”
During Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey held a Bailey Bowl, a field day for adults. During the show, Hampton and Leakes’ relationship seemingly took a turn for the worst when NeNe didn’t invite Marlo to join her team of Bridesmaids. Emotions rose throughout the episode, causing the former friends to get in a bit of an altercation.
She continued, “I’ll never forget where I came from. It’s what keeps me grinding towards a future of bigger and better things. That’s why I became so emotional when confronting the drag queen impersonator. When I went to speak to her I genuinely wanted to express my disappointment that I hadn’t been asked to join her team with the other bridesmaids. That really hurt me. But in order to get past it, I wanted to initiate a truce. Sometimes friends have disagreements, and then they forgive and forget. I have said many times I looked up to her like a big sister and valued our relationship, so I wanted to break the ice, kiss and make up. However, when the water was thrown at me, along with the nasty attitude, I wasn’t having it! I didn’t need to kiss her a$$ because she didn’t bring me up. When she met me at my boutique I was already that girl who styled her, (on a budget) for season 2. And at the time, she was on team I.O.U, NOT team Rich!”
NeNe initially addressed the disagreement with Marlo on her blog, writing:
“I never need to speak on the Marlo situation because she’s not important and not a part of this cast, but I supported Marlo and helped her unselfishly when nobody wanted her around! I will repeat: NOBODY! Some of these girls felt like because of Marlo’s criminal background, the fact that she slashed a friends face with a knife and disfigured her over a man, they didn’t want her around! I looked past that and really tried to see her heart! I was honest to a fault with her and a true loyal friend. Say what you want but there are rules to friendship! Everyone that knows me knows that I am a loyal friend and I expect the same in return. In friendship you have to give and take! If I give, that doesn’t mean all you get to do is take! So called “friends” that fraternize with the enemy is an opportunist in my opinion. They smile in your face but they’re looking to take your place.”
“At the Bailey Bowl, Marlo showed me her street side that everyone talks about! Yes you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig! Do I care that Manlow and Krayonce are friends? Absolutely not! I think they are the perfect match! Marlo has officially graduated from hungry to thirsty! I am sure Krayonce promised her a role in one of her multi-million dollar movies she produces! Kenya has nothing but deceitful evil intentions and Marlo fell for them! I want nothing to do with either of them. When I am done with you, I am done with you!”
Tune in for The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
