Outkast fans are most likely going crazy right now because the day that they have been eagerly awaiting for years has come.
Andre 3000 and Big Boi confirmed today that they would be coming back together to celebrate the 20 years since Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik came out. The duo made the announcement this morning via their Facebook page stating they would be doing a festival run of over 40 dates.
“Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast,” Andre was quoted saying. Big Boi followed up stating, “I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans – stank you smelly much, this is for y’all!”
While the group never officially broke up, they have not come out with an album since 2006 when they made the soundtrack for their film Idlewild. They announced last week that they would be performing together at Coachella this year but it looks like now even more fans will be able to see them because of this string of upcoming concerts.
