Not only did Kelis opt to name her forthcoming album Food, but she took it one step further with the names of the tracks.
The eccentric singer just released the artwork and track list for her sixth studio album and boy does it sound tasty (pun intended, that was the name of her third album, Ha!).
“Hey guys! I’m super excited. This is my new album cover!!!! Wepa, wepa, wepa!!!!!!!”, Nas’ ex posted on Instagram with a pic of the colorful cover.
And with tracks like “Jerk Ribs”, “Cobbler” and “Fish Fry”, it sounds like Kel is trying to hit the nearest BBQ immediately!
1. Jerk Ribs
3. Forever Be
8. Bless The Telephone
9. Fish Fry
12. Biscuits ‘n’ Gravy
Recently, HipHollywood caught up with the “Bossy” singer and she told us why she decided to named the album, Food, during the recording process. “It was a huge band, so people were there, and people are hungry. So we were eating, and recording, and singing, and eating some more and it was a lot of that. It wasn’t the plan but that’s just what it ended up being because that’s just who we are. It was really natural and it felt really good and it tasted really good too,” Kelis explained.
Food hits stores April 22nd.
